THEY’VE PREPARED FOR THE GAMES…
But are they ready for Caesar?

Citizens, it’s become pretty clear that a new up-and-comer has stolen the show this Hunger Games season — and we’re not talking about any tribute. Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane’s beard has become the talk of the Capitol, inspiring copy-cat creations all over town. While any old district citizen can pick up a razor, Capitol Couture went straight to the source - masterly make-up artist Ve Neill — to get an exclusive interview on how she crafted Panem’s best-tressed secret.

Uber-chic citizens of the Capitol, now is truly the time to #lookyourbest!

Capitol Couture and Tumblr are encouraging all diligent citizens to organize a Tumblr Meetup to see The Hunger Games at the 12:01 am Friday, March 23 showing at your local theater — and of course, to wear your favorite Capitol fashions!
We know you want to share those fabulous Capitol Looks with all of Panem. Submit photos of you and your friends at the screening to our Stylist Challenge contest for a chance to be featured in the glamorous pages of Capitol Couture, and possibly chosen as an Official Stylist!
Remember Citizens, always #lookyourbest!
That’s the spirit. RSVP for the live stream of the Opening Ceremonies at Yahoo! Movies on March 12th.

So you’re going to host a Hunger Games viewing party? Fantastic! Capitol Couture is more than happy to help. The following will tell you everything you need to host the most fabulous fête this side of the City Circle!
Jazz up the joint
The Hunger Games only happen once a year, so festoon, furbish, embellish, decorate, bedazzle, and bedeck until your party space is at max fabulousness.
Dress the part
The Tributes have been trotting out every fashion trick in the book. Don’t let a bunch of District kids upstage the host of the whole shindig. Buy that bronze-fiber blazer and splurge on those chinchilla-leather booties. Make no less than 15 wardrobe changes throughout the evening.
Keep it flowing
Luscious libations are the order of the day. Try a hickory-smoked nectarine spritzer, mojito ravioli or citrus-vapor cider.
Bigger is always better
No small screens, s’il vous plait. Think at least 96”. The Hunger Games are the grandest event of the year; your viewing station should reflect that.
Book that bookie
The Games are the most excellent time to size up the Tributes and make bets on the Games’ outcome. Be sure to have a bookie on hand so your guests may gamble comfortably.

To secure your seats for the 74th Hunger Games, visit Fandango and MovieTickets.
After harassing the Gamemakers pretty much all week, they finally confirmed that YES! It’s only the first day they’ve been on sale and tickets to this year’s Hunger Games are projected to make it the best-selling Games in its 74-year history! Gamemakers are attributing this to the particularly outstanding line-up of Tributes — including D12’s first female volunteer ever Katniss Everdeen; along with the promotion of Seneca Crane to Head Gamemaker. I know I speak for everyone here at Capitol Couture when I say WOW, the pressure is on, Gamemakers!
Love is in the air! And it seems like it’s been floating up there for some time. Reports are flowing in like crazy telling us that one of the Tributes has a major league crush on another Tribute — apparently since they were little kids. But none of those reports tell us which Tributes. Ugh! Well, I’ve always said, the Hunger Games are the most romantic time of year! And now we just might have proof. If the readers know anything juicy about this love story, please please please tell us in the comments section. We are seriously dying here.
And there is a fantastic line-up of Tributes. Check out the trailer for this year’s event and see for yourself.
Have you heard the news? Word on the streets of District 12 (yes, that District 12: home to Haymitch “Can I have another?” Abernathy) is they have their first volunteer in ages: a young female Tribute by the name of Katniss Everdeen.
We hear she’s ready to give the 74th Games all she’s got. As you know, a D12 volunteer is almost unheard of, but that’s exactly what those miners got when Effie Trinket announced the name “Primrose Everdeen,” younger sister to Miss Katniss.
Sources tell us Katniss was practically mowing down Peacekeepers to take her sister’s place. Isn’t that adorable?
I don’t know about you, but I simply cannot wait to see Katniss in action.
